ENEA - Flamenco Direct from Andalucia (Premiere)
An evening of traditional flamenco with national prize-winning young artists from Spain. Dancer and artistic director Julio Ruiz brings this flamenco dance recital with two outstanding musicians – singer Cristo Heredia and guitarist José Manuel Martínez, “El Pelirrojo”.
All respected performers and teachers in their own right, Julio and Cristo are originally from the flamenco community in Almeria and José Manuel from Alicante. Now mostly based in Madrid and Almeria, they perform across Andalucia between international engagements. This show brings energy and passion, great depth of feeling, musicianship and elegance, with a touch of humour.
