Originally opened by The Beatles' first manager, Allan Williams, in 1958, "The Jac" helped create the Merseybeat movement, with the Beatles making their first ever live performance at the club and Ringo Starr first meeting the band there.
Today it still boasts a record store and its 300 capacity basement venue continues to nuture the best local talent alongside some of the biggest names in music performing exclusive gigs and album launches.
