Stone Broken

When a former bandmate passed away as a result of alcohol addiction, Wolverhampton-born Rich Moss put aside his life-long dream of becoming a rocker to become a data analyst. However in 2013, after four long years away from music, the singer-songwriter/guitarist had a change of heart and formed Stone Broken with fellow Walsall residents Chris Davis on lead guitar, Kieron Conroy on bass and longtime friend Robyn Haycock on drums. Haycock inspired the band’s name by commenting that the money they’d need to get established would leave them “stone broke”.
Sharing a passion for hard rock and post-grunge, the four-piece self-financed their 2014 debut EP The Crow Flies in an effort to secure local gigs. Their five-track collection featured This Life, the first song Moss ever wrote for the band, as well as the anthemic Let Me Go, which they supported with a music performance video that achieved cult status in the UK.
Stone Broken also self-funded their critically acclaimed 2016 debut album All In Time. Five of the record’s ten tracks came from their original EP. Soon after its release songs like Stay All Night, Wait For You and Not Your Enemy were picked for the airwaves, while a lengthy European tour also increased the emerging band’s fan base.
In 2017, Stone Broken signed on to Spinefarm Records, part of Universal Music Group’s international hard rock label, and their sophomore album Ain’t Always Easy came out the following year. A deeply personal collection, the guitar-driven songs – from The Only Thing I Need and Worth Fighting For to Other Side Of Me and Doesn’t Matter – merged inspirational lyrics with heavy beats.
In 2020, the West Midlands rockers announced plans for their third full-length album Revelation, produced by SikTh guitarist Dan Weller, who had created seminal records with Enter Shikari and Bury Tomorrow. Confirmed for 2021, Stone Broken announced the twelve-date Revelation Tour, including their biggest UK headline shows to date.
