Now, nearly five decades since Liverpool became champions of Europe for the first time, this legendary chapter of football folklore comes alive with a unique theatrical performance.

This premium stage production reunites three icons of that majestic 1977 squad: JIMMY CASE, the dynamic midfield engine; PHIL THOMPSON, the sophisticated defensive colossus; and DAVID FAIRCLOUGH, the fast-paced, highly skilled big-game saviour. With style and enthusiasm, they chart the Reds' relentless, high-stakes charge towards the greatest prize in club football.

Guiding the evening is ELTON WELSBY, ITV’s football face of the Eighties, who hosts a night of intense, honest discussion packed with exclusive stories, raw nostalgia, and iconic triumphs.

The production plunges you back into the sights and sounds of the late Seventies. Through unfiltered memories and exclusive anecdotes, the players lift the curtain on the secrets of the Anfield Boot Room, the physical and mental brutality of European away legs, and the chaotic euphoria of the hotel after-party.

Written and conceived by Hyder Gareth Jawad, a multi-award-winning journalist and historian, Under a Rome Red Sky takes the football show away from the standard, one-dimensional Q&A concept into a whole new immersive world.
