Manchester soul legends Simply Red are back!
One of the UK’s most treasured bands with over 60 million records sold, frontman Mick Hucknall continues to offer a sensational pop masterclass with vivid, heartfelt, life-giving tracks that mix soul, funk, R&B and blues.
Formed in Manchester in 1985, they shot to fame with a cover of The Valentine Brothers' "Money's Too Tight (To Mention)" shortly before topping the charts in the USA with "Holding Back the Years" and a cover of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes' "If You Don't Know Me by Now" (both UK no.2).
They have since gone on to become one of the best-selling bands of all time, with the 1995 single "Fairground" topping the UK Charts, and the 1991 album "Stars" selling 9 million copies alone; incredibly becoming the best-selling album of the year in both 1991 and 1992.
