Meet the Deans Returns to Liverpool ? Epstein Theatre, 29th & 30th October 2026
The much-loved Liverpool family comedy Meet the Deans is back this October at the
Epstein Theatre, promising laughter, chaos, and heartfelt family moments.
Written over 20 years ago while the playwright waited in Newcastle Hospital during her
sister-in-laws heart transplant, the play draws on real-life family experiences to deliver
humour, warmth, and emotional depth. The story follows a hard-working mother whose
five grown-up children all move back home, bringing baggage, secrets, and conflict?
until one revelation changes everything.
Meet the Deans has previously delighted audiences in Liverpool in 2009, 2010 and
2012, earning standing ovations and glowing praise. Rock legend John Parr (Grammy
nominated, Academy Award nominee for Road to Damascus) called it:
