Ralph is forced to confront the life he has built, the choices he has made,
and the fear of what comes next.

Rooted in Liverpool language and rhythm, Short Back & Sides is a
character led play about change, identity and the emotional weight carried in
everyday jobs. It finds humour in the ordinary and emotion in the familiar,
moving naturally between laughter and moments of quiet reflection.

Short Back & Sides is a new play written by Liverpool-based writers John May
and Patrick Browne, which brings together lived experience, character led
storytelling, and a deep connection to the city.

The play is produced by Progress Theatre Company, a sister company to
Progress Pictures, a Liverpool-based production company rapidly gaining
momentum in the television and film world.

Together, May and Browne have created a funny, honest and heart-warming piece
of theatre rooted in Liverpool life. A play that invites audiences to laugh
and cry in equal measure.
