It's been a long time coming (over 40 years, in fact) but Terry Chambers, the drummer for XTC, is back on the road with his new band, EXTC (named and approved by Andy Partridge), bringing the XTC songbook to audiences worldwide - including many songs never previously performed live.
With hits including "Making Plans for Nigel", "Senses Working Overtime", and "Sgt. Rock (Is Going to Help Me)", XTC was one of the UK's most exciting and influential bands in the late 1970s and early 80s.
Terry, having returned to the UK from his 30-plus-year life in Australia decided to form a band that honoured XTC's legacy while introducing new material of their own. So it came to pass that Terry and EXTC (also featuring Steve Tilling, Steve Hampton and Matt Hughes) will bring a full set of classic XTC songs to audiences worldwide. And for the ultimate stamp of approval, the band comes with the blessing and support of XTC leader, Andy Partridge.
