Breed 77

Breed 77 formed in London in 1996. Originally comprised of members from Gibraltar, a small British Territory at the mouth of the Mediterranean ? this birthed their sound; a unique fusion of Flamenco and North African influences mixed with alternative Rock & Metal, equal parts exotic and explosive! Cutting their teeth on the UK live circuit, it wasn?t long before the band was named Best Unsigned Act by Kerrang and Best New Band by Metal Hammer on the back of relentless touring. In 1999, a mere 3 years after forming, the band is selected as the sole support for the Black Sabbath Original Line-up reunion at the London Astoria ? the show goes down a storm and at the start of the new millennium Breed 77 sign to Alberts UK . They release 4 albums on Alberts; Breed 77 2001, Cultura 2004, In My Blood (En Mi Sangre) 2006 and the Spanish language Un Encuentro in 2007. It was with Cultura that things really took off ? entering the UK rock charts at number 3 and spawning 3 singles that bothered the mainstream charts with ballad The River breaking into the UK Top 40 at a time when rock was not common in the charts. In 2009, Insects is released on La Rocka Records, a sprawling concept album ripe with social and political commentary ? featuring the stand-out cover of The Cranberries, Zombie. The Evil Inside is released on Frostbyte/Universal in 2013, darker, moodier and a straight-up rockier affair; lead single Bring On The Rain launches to critical acclaim. Breed 77 is known for their incendiary live shows and have toured the world extensively with the likes of Megadeth, Machine Head, Korn, Life of Agony & Prong and many more.
