The Fugitives
Described as "the missing link between Leonard Coen and The Pogues", Vancouver-based acoustic folk-roots group The Fugitives have earned a JUNO nomination, numerous CFMA and WCMA nominations, and toured extensively through Europe, Canada, and the UK.
They’ve entertained crowds at most major Canadian folk festivals, performed a slot at the renowned UK Glastonbury festival, and toured opening for Buffy Sainte-Marie.
They released their breakthrough sixth album, No Help Coming, in October 2023. It is about the climate emergency, tackling a different type of crisis from their previous album, Trench Songs, which brought WW1 poems written by young adults turned soldiers, into a musical force.
