In 1993, Dave Gardner, a Preston based songwriter and musician was plucked from obscurity to sharing the stage with American songwriter and actor Kris Kristofferson. With no management or agent representation ? Kris signed off on Dave. Following the tour Dave then went on to play with The Kinks on their 1993/94 final tour and Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett. In between the high profile touring around the UK and Europe - Dave played the UK Folk Circuit sharing stages with Michael Chapman, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, John Martyn and Pentangle amongst others.
