The Covasettes
If you’d asked indie rockers The Covasettes when they first met at uni in Manchester what they’d expect to be doing in 2024, they could never have predicted what was to come.
Fast forward to today and the lads have quite the list of achievements under their belt: sold-out shows across the country, over 8 million streams, national radio play on Radio 1, Radio XS and BBC Introducing, and stealing the show at UK festivals and beyond, just to name a few.
The Covasettes’ time spent living together in Manchester allowed them to hone in on their signature indie sound comprising frontman Chris Buxton’s heartfelt lyrics and melody, guitarist Matt Hewlett’s infectious riffs, drummer Matt Buckley’s rock-inspired grooves and bassist/producer Jamie McIntyre’s pop production sensibilities.
