Previous members of UK Acid Jazz band the Brand New Heavies, the duo of Jan Kincaid & Dawn Joseph, have an undeniable chemistry that led to the formation of MF Robots, which had Mixmag proclaiming "Intergalactic jazz-funk disco is back".
Their euphoric blend of Afro-soul-funk has gained critical acclaim across Europe and they have become known for dynamic live performances featuring Dawn's magnetically captivating stage presence and stunning vocals, paired with their slick funky sound.
Their exceptional musicianship, polished production, and top-notch songwriting is reminiscent of iconic American rhythm sections from the 70s and, 80s.
Kincaid met vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Jospeh, when she started singing for the Heavies in 2013.
Known for playing bass with Phil Collins’ band, Joseph has sung with acts as diverse as Kylie Minogue, Michael McDonald and CeeLo Green.
