You could say the same for composer and clarinettist Mark Simpson, and today our Artist in Residence leads his own all-star wind ensemble in a programme that begins with that elemental explosion, and ends with the single greatest piece ever written for 13 wind players. Merseyside composer Gary Carpenter adds his own fantastic homage to Mozart?s masterpiece.\n
