With her unique blend of cello virtuosity, soulful vocals, and magnetic stage presence, she has become one of the most prominent Cuban singer-composers on the international scene. This rare solo show celebrates Ana's latest album Alamar, an album shaped by roots, departure, healing and joy. Sung in Spanish, French, Portuguese, and English, Alamar reflects Ana's international path. More than a collection of songs, the album is conceived as an ?uvre ? a statement of artistic freedom, authorship and emotional honesty. This is Ana's first time touring the UK since her previous award-winning album Caribe - a bold, colourful celebration of Latin and Caribbean music. Inspired by the legendary Afro-Cuban jam sessions known as descargas, Caribe blends vibrant Caribbean rumbas, emotive Argentine tangos, Brazilian bossa-jazz and samba, and more.
