Roy Harper

Celebrated Manchester-born, Blackpool-raised folk icon Roy Harper makes his final tour, and will be joined by special guest, his son, Nick Harper.

Roy Harper is a man whose name everyone knows, many people may not be sure why they know it, but he has undoubtedly influenced many a music fan and musician over the last forty plus years of his career, recognised within the music industry with a MOJO HERO award, and cited by the likes of Led Zeppelin, Pete Townshend of The Who, Kate Bush, Pink Floyd, and Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, who said Harper was his "primary influence as an acoustic guitarist and songwriter."

Enjoying Top 40 success in the 1970s, he is known for his distinctive fingerstyle playing and lengthy, lyrical, complex compositions, reflecting his love of jazz and the poet John Keats.
