Not to be mistaken for the spiritual jazz legend of the same name, Leon Thomas began his career on Broadway, appearing in the The Lion King, Caroline, or Change and The Color Purple, before providing the singing voice of Tyrone on the Nick Jr. animated series The Backyardigans and playing Andre Harris on the Nickelodeon series Victorious alongside Ariana Grande, for whom he has since written music.

He moved into music, winning two Grammy nominations as a member of the production duo The Rascals, co-writing and producing for the likes of Babyface, Drake, Rick Ross, SZA, and Toni Braxton.

As a solo artist has established himself as one of the leading voices in neo-soul and R&B with his 2024 track "Mutt" reaching the UK Top 20.
