Afternoon with Michael Sinbad Starke

Join us at Thornton Hough Village Club as DBN Events welcomes an afternoon with Brookside legend and star of the stage, TV and silver screen Michael ?Sinbad? Starke on Sunday, December 7. The event will see Michael be gently grilled by comedian and award-winning writer Ben Turner as he reflects on a 50-year career before taking questions from YOU the audience in the final section. Michael began his career as a guitar vocalist in various Liverpool variety bands which enabled him to obtain an Equity card and widen his Showbiz horizons. He will talk about everything from one of his big breaks - being spotted by writer Jimmy McGovern in an amateur play in Liverpool ? to his most well-known role as window cleaner ?Sinbad? from 1984-2000 in Brookside. Michael will also discuss everything from his multitude of theatre roles ranging from Hairspray to Sister to lightening up our TV screens in the likes of the Royal, Coronation Street and guest appearances on shows as varied as Vic Reeves? Big Night Out to Blankety Blank. But Michael will also talk about the fact he is no stranger to the silver screen with host of films including joining Hollywood megastar Samuel L. Jackson in 51st State ? also known as Formula 51. The ?20 ticket price (plus BF) includes a bowl of scouse and fresh bread and the chance to ask Michael a question when the event is thrown open to the floor.
