In 1976, Alomar formed the D.A.M. Trio with drummer Dennis Davis and bassist George Murray, who contributed to Bowie's Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps)?in 1980. They further solidified their influence by backing Iggy Pop during the recording of The Idiot?in Berlin. The trio's final performance with Bowie took place on Saturday Night Live?in 1979, showcasing their innovative sound. In June 2023, Alomar and Murray made an emotional reunion at the David Bowie World Fan Convention in New York, performing together for the first time since their last TV appearance.
