JD McPherson

Oklahoma's JD McPherson has created something unique and amazing, taking the inspiration from multiple decades and styles and incorporating them into his own sound.

He describes it as "It's like if The late-60s Ventures were the session band on the first New Order record."

He delivers the signature sounds of vintage garage-rock while also seamlessly bridging the sounds of Bowie and Alan Vega, sounding like Chuck Berry is jamming with Buddy Holly, while giving a nod to the Factory sound from Manchester, taking inspiration from multiple genres of the past and combining them together to evolve a sound that is all his own which has earned him tours with Alison Krauss and Robert Plant.
