Rob & Alan Fennah - Alternative Radio

Rob & Alan Fennah - Alternative Radio

Wirral brothers Rob and Alan Fennah, aka Alternative Radio, have been a leading force in the music business since the early 80s, when they became the first artists to sign to EMI’s re-launched Parlophone record label in 1984. Renowned for their ability to create a massive "live" sound with just two people, dabbling in all styles of music in a 40 year career.

In the mid-70s, at the age of 15, Rob joined his first band, Buster, who had hit records in Japan, Europe and Australia, including the UK Top 50 single "Sunday", which occupied the Number 1 position in Japan for a full 7 weeks.

In 2004 the Fennah brothers wrote and produced the smash hit musical play "Twopence to Cross the Mersey", based on the best selling autobiography by Helen Forrester, while, the same year, their song "Yesterdays Man" won first place in the Acoustic /Folk Category of the "Unisong International Song Contest".

As an accomplished guitarist, Rob also enjoys teaching from his very own Bluenote Guitar School in Wallasey, while Alan has also released two solo albums under his own name.
